About

Hi, I’m Rebecca.

I’m a multi-faceted internet activist and technologist, making work at the intersection of advocacy, engineering, and storytelling. I create thought-provoking digital experiences, art objects, and installations.

Holding a master’s degree from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP), I spend a lot of time thinking about internet freedom, open web initiatives, surveillance, and the increased blurring between public and private spaces online.

Before graduate school, I prototyped interactive experiences at tech companies, collected stories for independent multimedia projects, and studied Arabic and MENA politics in Cairo and Jerusalem.

Talk to me about: Arabic, software art, Bruegel, biopolitics, Toni Morrison, data privacy, really bad Italian horror movies, Leo Tolstoy.
